Real reason labels are always decrying digital piracy as eliminating the record industry. Sure piracy is a problem, but the digital aspect does not necessarily make it exponentially easier to accomplish. When legal digital distribution is easier than launching some program or pursuing the right servers, piracy will become essentially irrelevant. Nonetheless the record industry behemoths will still complain because digital distribution breaks down the sales of albums down to their tracks and splits the revenue pie more fairly.
